2006 saw the completion of the IDOL project. Individual partners are now putting its results into practice in their own institutions and exchanging experiences from its implementation with other educational institutions from across Europe. 4th International Conference on eLiteracy

15-17 June 2005
University of Strathclyde, Scotland

eLit2005 will draw together teachers, educational researchers, policymakers, trainers, librarians, IT support staff, learning technologists, and many others to share experiences and to talk and think through issues such as the embedding of eLiteracy skills in the curriculum to the convergence of library and IT services and the challenges of creating online education.

Alice Pennington of Roehampton University (IDOL Partner) will be presenting a workshop entitled "Is the eWorld ready for disabilities? The IDOL Project (Inclusion of Disabled in the Open Labour market) - developing an IT training programme for Blind users"

ICC - International Camp on Communication & Computers 2005

Two events:

ICC 2005 will be held in Brno/ Czech Republic.

Blind and partially sighted students from all over Europe will meet in order to participate in computer workshops and improve social, communication and independent living skills during one week. Leisure and cultural activities will complete the offer. The main language at the camp is English. Have a look at the ICC website:
