Inclusion of Disabled in Open Labour Market IDOL
Aims of the project
Expected outcomes:
A long-term result of the project is to increase the number of blind and/or physically disabled people employed in the open labour market (especially translators and telemarketers) as well as maintaining the jobs of those already in employment there.
Other project results include:
- Increase the assertiveness and confidence of disabled people planning to enter employment so that they are able to maintain their jobs (especially translators and telemarketers).
- Increasing the professional qualifications of blind people entering employment through the use of assistive technology and computer skills.
- Making physically disabled people aware of the benefits of having a service dog, especially in the work place.
- Improving the image of disabled people in employment among potential employers and partners in the work place.
